Changeworks
Have you got experience in fundraising and partnerships? Are you looking for a rewarding and
varied role where you can make a real difference? Changeworks are looking for a Fundraising
Development Lead to identify and secure funding to help more people to decarbonise their homes.
This role will play a key part in ensuring Changeworks can continue to deliver a range of
projects and services across Scotland. The Fundraising Development Lead will secure income
through the identification, development and writing of funding applications.
You will work with the Business Development team and senior managers on the delivery and
successful execution of Changeworks’ business development strategy. Building excellent
stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be a key element of this
role and will support the delivery of opportunities such as joint bids and initiatives.
The Fundraising Development Lead will also provide peer support to Changeworks staff through
working proactively with team managers to identify ideas and opportunities in line with their
plans and priorities.
About you
You will have in-depth fundraising experience with proven expertise in securing funding for
projects and services. You will have a track record of securing charitable trust and grant
income and experience of managing long term relationships with funders and partners. A
knowledge of the retrofit, energy or fuel poverty sectors would be beneficial but not
essential.
About us
Changeworks is a leading organisation dedicated to decarbonising Scotland’s homes and a just
transition to net zero. We deliver services in energy advice, retrofit management, and
decarbonisation solutions, alongside independent consultancy. Through partnerships across the
UK, we help accelerate the transformation of Scotland’s homes toward sustainability.
Changeworks is a great place to work. We hold Investors in People Platinum accreditation
(something only a few organisations in Scotland have), and we were nominated for employer of
the year by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce this year. Our staff overwhelmingly would
recommend us as an employer too.
The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions
from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant
increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and
external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency
retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes.
We are a growing organisation, and this role is crucial to the delivery of our ambitious
objectives. We want to decarbonise homes in Scotland on a massive scale, and that needs
talented individuals like you to help us deliver on our objectives. You’ll receive full
training plus coaching and mentoring.
We offer a wide range of staff benefits including flexible working, bike to work scheme, an
excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.
At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.
Closing date for applications: 11am, Monday 23 June 2025
