Scope of Work

A.   Summary of Requirements.

Supply and Installation of Solar Mini-Grid PV System Infrastructure for Vio Island, Lautoka in the Fiji Islands.

In addition, the selected supplier will:

  •        Provide on-the-job training to designated community technicians of each site on basic operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the respective system(s).
  •        Need to take note that after the UNDP contract is awarded, the Government of Fiji may/is expected to get into an O&M arrangement with the selected supplier, which will require the supplier to:
    •      Enter a separate Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contract with the Fijian Government (or its designated entity) for a minimum period of five (5) to seven (7) years post-commissioning of the system they construct. This O&M contract will be based on the O&M plan and annual O&M fee submitted as part of this tender.
  •        Be required to submit a comprehensive proposal covering all aspects of the Vio Island solar infrastructure, including the proposed multi-year O&M services and annual fees. The O&M proposal will not form part of the financial evaluation but may be used by the Government of Fiji for such potential future contracting.
