Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) is an innovative green building standard
and certification created by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), member of the World
Bank Group. EDGE makes it faster, easier, and more affordable than ever before to build and
brand green.

EDGE is growing at an exponential rate, quickly becoming the most dominant green building
certification in many countries around the world. Designed for mass market transformation, EDGE
is being applied at scale across the world. As one of the EDGE global certifiers, Sintali
delivers EDGE certification in over 170 countries.

We are seeking an individual who will be checking, verifying, and assuring that projects adhere
to the EDGE standard and play a critical role in the certification process.

What is the role?

We are looking for an EDGE Certification Reviewer to join our growing technical team. In this
role, you will be responsible for evaluating, verifying, and assuring the quality and
consistency of EDGE project submissions from audit partners around the world. You will apply
your technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure projects meet the requirements of
the EDGE standard and to provide clear, constructive feedback to support the certification
process.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, spanning multiple
geographies, building types, and market contexts, while contributing to a mission that delivers

critically assess documentation to identify inconsistencies or errors.

feedback to auditors and stakeholders across different cultural contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Review and Verification

  • Conduct detailed technical reviews of EDGE audit submissions to confirm compliance with the
    EDGE standard.
  • Assess documentation accuracy, completeness, and consistency, ensuring it aligns with
    established protocols and criteria.

Quality Assurance and Feedback

  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to auditors to resolve discrepancies and maintain
    high-quality assessments.
  • Serve as a point of contact for technical and procedural queries related to EDGE
    certification.

Certification Recommendations

  • Prepare formal recommendations on whether projects meet the EDGE standard, ensuring
    decisions are evidence-based and defensible.
  • Support the issuance and preparation of EDGE certificates for successfully certified
    projects.

Process Improvement and Knowledge Sharing

  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in review procedures to increase efficiency, accuracy,
    and consistency.
  • Contribute to training and development initiatives for external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with audit partners and internal stakeholders to share learnings and uphold
    best practices across the certification network.
  • Other tasks as required to support the team.

Essential skills:

  • Higher education degree in construction related field.
  • Work experience in a construction related field.
  • Fair knowledge of building-related systems and materials.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Self-driven and self-motivated.
  • Competent in MS Excel.

Desirable skills:

  • Mechanical engineering qualification preferred
  • General understanding of green-building standards.
  • EDGE Expert accreditation or equivalent
  • Experience of auditing green building standards
  • Data visualization and analytics.

Requirements

  • Ability to work from home
  • Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom

 Remote but must be based in the UK and able to travel to London on a
monthly basis for team meetings
