Development Manager

North Pennines Landscape Connections is a programme of work aimed at helping farmers and land
managers work together to make the most of the new funding schemes which will help Nature
Recovery and business resilience. At the same time the programme aims to develop a monitoring
framework to measure progress against nature recovery outcomes, land management changes and
external factors such as climate change, and to co-ordinate and support a network of citizen
scientists which contributes to this monitoring.

It will also support farmer hosts to develop relationships with groups and individuals who have
previously struggled to access the countryside, and to build an active network of participants
to support this process. The Landscapes Connections programme is supported by the National
Lottery Heritage Fund.

The role of the Development Manager will be to lead on the development of a Stage 2 NLHF
Connected Landscapes programme submission on behalf of the North Pennines National Landscape
and its partners (including RSPB, Wear, Tyne and Eden Rivers Trusts and the Farmer Network).

If successful it is envisaged that the Manager will stay on in this role as the Programme
Manager for the 8-year programme.

You will need a degree or equivalent level qualification and experience of working on
multi-partner project development and management relating to nature recovery/conservation.

Salary: Grade 12 £42,708 to £46,731 p.a. (Pay Award Pending)

Working pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week
