Governance and Performance Officer

Friends of the Earth


We are looking for a highly organised and focused Governance and Performance Officer to join
our Governance team.

The Governance and Performance Officer provides administrative, logistical and coordination
support to a range of colleagues, including the Boards, Senior Leadership Team and Campaign
Project Management Team, to enable effective governance and leadership of Friends of the Earth.

You’ll support Board, campaign strategy, and other cross-organisational meetings, as well as
coordinating key processes around reporting and compliance. You’ll work closely with the rest
of the Governance Team and the Project Management Team.

Key Skills and Attributes: 

You will be forward thinking and able to prioritise a varied workload in a fast-moving
environment. You will have excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills
with a focus on quality, detail and outcomes. You will possess proficient IT and written skills
and an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including the most
senior levels of the organisation.

The team: 

The Governance Team supports Friends of the Earth’s Boards and Senior Leadership Team to lead
the organisation in its mission to bring about environmental justice.

Working across all the organisation, the team aims to provide senior colleagues with efficient
and proactive support, helping to ensure that our decision-making machinery is working well,
that we plan effectively, and that we strengthen a culture of accountability and delivery.

Contract Type: Fixed term covering maternity leave to July 2026.

Hours: Full time (30 hours over 4 days)

Location: London- Hybrid
