The Project Manager will manage the NWC Boston & Beyond project which will transform
wildlife habitats in green spaces across the most disadvantaged areas of Boston, with a focus
on amphibians and reptiles. NWC Boston & beyond is supported by The National Lottery
Heritage Fund. An important part of the project is to manage a one-year Traineeship and
actively recruit people from disadvantaged backgrounds and ethnic minorities to this role. The
Trainee will learn about habitat management, monitoring, and public engagement, and will gain
the skills and experience needed to secure employment in wildlife conservation, plus
transferrable skills for other employment options. The project, made possible thanks to
National Lottery players, will support them to build confidence and self-esteem to enable them
to flourish for the future.
Through this project we will both enhance Boston’s and beyond natural heritage through the
creation of a NWC and through delivering a wide range of public engagement activities.
The role is subject to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including under-represented groups.
We are happy to discuss flexible working options.
Deadline for applications: Midnight 26th May 2025
Interviews will be in person in Peterborough on 6th June 2025.
