About our Organisation

The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of
human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues
in isolation.

We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we
support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn’t do any of this without
our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where
it’s needed the most.

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join the Soil Association’s Farming and Land Use Team to support
delivery of our farmer-led research programmes working primarily on Innovative Farmers – one of
our flagship programmes that brings producers and researchers together to find more sustainable
ways of farming through on-farm trials. Youʼll work with a fantastic network of farmers,
researchers, co-ordinators and our advisors across the UK.

About You

You’ll be a fantastic project co-ordinator, able to reliably plan, monitor, facilitate and
deliver on different activities. You’ll have the ability to work on own initiative and
multi-task under pressure to meet deadlines. You’ll be an effective communicator and team
player. You’ll be able to synthesize complex information for a variety of audiences. You’ll
have experience of working with farmers and researchers and have a passion for supporting
sustainable farming practices and fostering effective collaboration.
